Genk, Belgium and Melbourne, Australia - Aerobel, the Belgian manufacturer of sustainable insulation products, continues its international advance with the signing of a distribution agreement with Australia's Aero Insulations. The latter will distribute the Aeromix product locally to resellers and installers. Aeromix is a thermal floor insulation screed made with renewable resources. The Genk-based growth company made this announcement in Melbourne, during the Belgian Economic Mission to Australia.

Aeromix insulating screeds offer unmatched thermal performance that reduces energy consumption both for heating and cooling and lowers energy bills thanks to the use of an up cycled biowaste product. The innovative product not only maximizes indoor comfort year-round, but also contributes to a sustainable future by reducing the carbon footprint thanks to the ability to use recycled EPS.

Limburg-based Aerobel is experiencing solid growth. Earlier this month, the company announced that it will invest 30 million in production capacity of the revolutionary sustainable insulation product Aerogel. To this end, the company will hire an additional 50 employees over the next five years.

"With this agreement, we are taking our first steps into the Australian construction market," said Sam Chartouni, CEO of Aerobel. "The size of the local. construction industry is estimated to exceed 150 billion euros in 2023 and would continue to grow in the following years. It is therefore our ambition to establish a place among insulation manufacturers in Australia. The hour difference and distance make it difficult to serve the country from Belgium. A local presence, through Aero Insulations, is therefore an important asset in terms of accessibility and knowledge of the local market."
“We are excited to bring Aerobel’s products to Australia,” states Wouter Das, CEO of Aero Insulations. “The product combines innovation and sustainability in a truly unique way, made with renewable resources such as recycled EPS. To date, no comparable product is available for construction in Australia. We are sure that the quality of the product, in combination with its sustainable character, will be a great added value for eco building. We are convinced that Aeromix will vastly contribute to the quest for net-zero buildings in Australia, regardless of climate zones and construction type and function.”
